Mt. Bromo

Bromo is the mountain in the middle of the picture- that is not a lake -it's the clouds below us.

This mountain is called the rooftop of the sky and it is still an active volcano.  That is not a cloud - it's the released vapors from the volcano

Sunrise Mount Bromo

A new day is dawning on Mount Bromo. I was with 44 students and they were freezing (the temp was about 41 degrees). Mount Bromo belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park and it is located in a plain called the Sea of Sand.
