The flag raising ceremony was a rather solemn event. The flag is very slowly raised after a moment of prayer and a moment of solemn quiet is observed. The oldest students (S1- Grade 7) were the ones conducting the ceremony.
The primary one (first graders) asked that since it was a flag "racing" (not raising) ceremony, did they have to run by themselves or with a group!
