Medi's for dinner
I had the pleasure of spending the evening with Medi, her husband and two sons. We attempted to make apple pie. However the dough would not roll properly and the electric oven Medi bought had no temperature gauge!!!!!
However we had a great time. Her husband, Harris steamed the fish in banana leaves and it was delicious!

George Town, Penang
George Town is the colorful, multicultural capital of the Malaysian island of Penang. Once an important Straits of Malacca trading hub, the city is known for its British colonial buildings, Chinese shophouses and various houses of worship. I needed to leave the country of Indonesia since my visa expired, so Regina and I did a "visa run" weekend to Penang.
Many road are closed to cars on Sunday, so we wandered around Sunday morning before heading to the airport.
Not sure I'd try this
Saturday morning in George Town, Penang some of the streets are closed to cars. Different foods, crafts and other venues are set up along the road. I was fascinated - but didn't have the time.

Saturday morning dodgeball game. One young man explained the rules which are very similar to ours. Then he asked me to join - thankfully I didn't have on my sneakers!
