Gudeg is a traditional Javanese cuisine from Yogyakarta and Central Java, Indonesia. It is made from young unripe jack fruitboiled for several hours with palm sugar, and coconut milk It is commonly served with egg or chicken. Our dish had the hundred year old egg and the chicken. Unripe jackfruit reminds me of sweet potato.
