The Big Buddha

Tian Tan Buddha (more commonly referred to as just the Big Buddha) took 12 years to plan and construct. Sitting 34 metres high, I had to climb 268 steps to reach the giant bronze statue. But along the way the view was spectacular - even though it was very misty.  

The Po Lin Monastery

Intricate carvings both inside and outside of the main temple hall.  Unfortunately taking of pictures inside the main hall are not allowed.

 A quaint and picturesque village, with the traditional stilt houses. One of the few remaining places where you can still see them in Hong Kong.
