Shelley Beach feels like a secluded island in comparison to the huge stretch of sand that is Manly Beach. Here, the waves are calmer, and the beach is a lot rougher due to the many shells. I took a 10 minute walk from Manly around Cabbage Tree Bay. Like many people I stopped and took a seat on the rocks and watched people a dip in the aqua-coloured Fairy Bower Pool. It’s a nature reserve and it just beautiful.
